  • What is a tithe?
    A tithe is one tenth of a person's income. Tithing or giving a tithe goes back to before Moses in the bible. Mosaic Law required that the Israelites give one tenth of the produce from their land and livestock.  The tithe supported the levitical priesthood found in scripture at Leviticus 27: 30-33. Today many Christians donate a tenth of their income to support their church, pastor and missionary needs.

  • How much should I tithe?
    Because a tithe is more than just a financial gift we should be prepared to give of the first fruits of all our gifts such as time talents and finances.

  • What if I can't tithe or don't have enough to tithe?
    Read Malachi 3-10 "bring the whole tithe into the store house, that there may be food in the house. Test me in this says the Lord almighty and see if I won't throw open the flood gates of heaven that there will be not be room enough to store it.

  • Should I tithe off my gross or net income?
    Pray and ask yourself what feels right. 2 Corinthians 9:7 "so let each one of us give as he purposes in his heart. Not grudgingly or out of necessity, God loves a cheerful giver.

  • Is my donation tax deductible?
    Yes, Lifeline sends out an annual report for proof of giving.

  • When is the annual deadline contribution?
    December 31 would be the deadline for contributions.

  • Do you accept credit cards, check and cash?
    We accept credit card, checks and cash.

  • How does budgeting work at Lifeline?
    The church leadership has a process for determining the annual budget. Each ministry director presents their needs and goals for the year which is grouped with our fixed expenses such as the mortgage, salaries and utilities. The budget is then determined by need verses income.

  • Is there a minimum amount I need to contribute?
    No but a tithe represents 10% of one's income. 

  • Can I pay with automatic bill pay every month?
    Yes your financial institution will set this up for you.
